Sofia Mastrokoukou is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Turin, Department of Psychology.
In her doctoral dissertation at the University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), she studied the effectiveness of teachers in Higher Education in Greece.
In addition, she has completed postgraduate studies in Public Policy and Social Change, in International Sciences from the University of Turin, in Adult Education at the Open University of Cyprus, as well as in Teaching and Psychological Methods in Education from the University of L’Aquila. She also has a degree in Greek Philology from the University of Ioannina.
In 2019, she undertook the coordination of the Accessibility Unit of the University of Piraeus. Since 2016, she has been working in various Higher Education Institutions and research institutes abroad as a researcher and author of proposals for EU-funded programs.
For more than 4 years shHe worked as a Career and Education Consultant at the Career Office of the University of Piraeus. She was responsible for the strategic planning, control and promotion of the Liaison Office activities, provided professional counseling and guidance services to students and graduates, was a lecturer in e-portfolio and business pitch design seminars, conducted education and training studies and collaborated with higher institutions and professional bodies in Greece and abroad.
She has participated in oral conferences, published her papers in international scientific journals, and participated in the writing team for the first Practical Guide to the International Trademark in collaboration with the Deaf Institute in Turin. At the same time, hes participated in the UN educational program. to train political scientists and NGOs from around the world to disseminate the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, as well as a training program of the International Labor Organization (ILO) on “Gender Equality in the Workplace” .
Her research interests include the quality management and effectiveness of teaching in universities, and the comparative analysis of European legislation for people with disabilities. Se is the President of μicrokosmos an Italian-Greek Cultural Organization for Education, based in Turin and a founding member of Koin.S.Ep. MYARTIST and the European Network Let Her In.
