Marea Laoutari graduated from the Athens University of Economics and Business and earned a Master’s degree in Political Communication from the University of Manchester in the UK.
She worked for more than 15 years as a Corporate Communications executive in leading companies such as Rolls-Royce, Apivita, and Coca-Cola, with responsibilities for 6 countries.
Driven by a deep passion for people and their quality of life, a serious health issue prompted her to make a 180-degree “turn” in her career. In 2009, she became certified in the field of Coaching and Strategic Intervention in San Diego, USA, by world-renowned experts Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes.
She later trained in the UK under Dr. Richard Bandler, the creator of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Paul McKenna, and Dr. Georges Philips, creator of the Gold Counselling technique.
She founded the company 1+1=2 Life & Business Coaching, based in Athens, and has worked with thousands of individuals and businesses in Greece and abroad on issues such as personal development, career change, limiting beliefs, communication skills, and family relationships — all with the aim of achieving high goals and meaningful progress, health, and well-being.
Marea has collaborated with numerous companies on training and executive development programs, including Coca-Cola, Microsoft Global, Mondelez, Unilever, HENKEL, Amvyx, Heracles Group, Eurobank, Piraeus Bank, Wella, Danone, Menarini, NOVARTIS, L’Oreal, Estee Lauder, Stamou Academy, Aegean College and many others. She offers free services to charitable organizations such as EXELIXI ZOIS and WIN Hellas.
She is a regular contributor to media outlets (TV, radio, magazines, and websites) on topics related to personal development. For three years, she hosted the “Meet the Life Coach” segment on the SKAI TV show “Dot.” In collaboration with HIT 889 radio, she created the podcast Breakthrough and is a daily contributor to the station’s morning segment.
She is the author of the best-selling book “Sxoleio Sxesewn” (Relationship School), published by Dioptra Publications.
In her free time, she enjoys reading crime fiction and painting.
Marea is married, has a 13-year-old son, and a Westie.
