Elisavet Barbaliou is a psychologist-psychotherapist, family therapist, president and scientific director of the Center for Systemic Psychotherapy and Research (KESYPSE) and author of the book “The Return of Man”.
She has 35 years of clinical experience, having offered her services at the Preschool Center of the Bank of Greece and the Olympic Air Force, while since 1992 she maintains a private office, where offers its services to families, couples, teenagers and adults.
Studies and Specialization
She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Clinical and Occupational Psychology at the Nanterre Paris X University in Paris.
She trained in Vocational Guidance Counseling at the Academie des Versailles and at ISON Psychometrica, in Athens, as well as in research matters at the INRP (National Institute for Pedagogical Research in Paris).
She also specializes in Systemic and Family Psychotherapy at the Human Relations Research Laboratory and is a certified GIM music therapist under the auspices of the Swedish Advanced Bonny Method GIM Training Program – Association for Music and Imagery.
Scientific and Research Interests
She has participated with presentations at conferences in Greece and abroad, as well as with lectures at the B&M Theocharakis Foundation.
She also writes articles in scientific journals and in the daily press. Her scientific interests are focused on:
- In the study of the psychosynthesis of people, exploring the social conditions that influence the formation of their character and personality.
- The effect of music and music therapy on the male psyche.
- In the promotion of intergenerational dialogue as a tool for understanding and addressing the psycho-emotional needs that arise during adolescence.
Scientific Societies and Associations
She is a member of the Hellenic Association of Psychologists (SEPS), the Hellenic Society for Systemic Therapy (ELESYTH), the European Family Therapy Association (EFTA), Sonora (Interdisciplinary Society for Music Therapy and Research) and the Association for Music and Imagery (USA).
She is also has the European Certificate in Psychotherapy from the European Association of Psychotherapy (EAP).
