Hello! My name is Aggeliki Makri.
I have been practicing as a clinical nutritionist since 1997. I am the founder of Diet Praxis & the scientific creator of the NMTA ® (Nutritional Temperament and Metabolic Analysis) method, which I developed after many years of scientific research.
After I completed the first cycle of my studies at the ATEI of Thessaloniki and graduated from the Department of Nutrition, I wanted to immerse myself more in science.
I was motivated by the fact that there was a false interpretation about what constitutes a healthy lifestyle and a healthy diet. Convinced that this static approach was superficial and ultimately ineffective or even inversely effective in many cases, I decided to develop and combine my knowledge through the study of other relevant scientific objects.
I continued with postgraduate studies in Metabolism at the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Thessaly and with a doctoral dissertation on stress and pregnancy pathology, at the Medical School of the University of Athens.
Since then, my scientific interest has focused on Nutritional and Metabolic, while I investigate and evaluate the effect of stress on the body and especially its impact on metabolic disorders, neuromusculoskeletal disorders, infertility, insomnia, food intolerances, intolerance, food allergies, etc.
Until 2018 I was teaching as a Holistic and Energy Nutrition teacher at NHS (Natural Health Science). Nowadays I am organizing seminars and workshops on the pathophysiology of stress and its management techniques, while at the same time being informed and participating in conferences concerning my science both in Greece and abroad.
All of the above, led me after research and search, to formulate and develop my own method of evaluation and analysis of nutrition and food, depending on the power they have to support or hinder the metabolic process.
The NMTA ® method is different & innovative. The compilation of Hippocrates, Pythagorean philosophy with modern metabolism, in practice leads to something much more essential than losing weight. It leads to physical & mental balance in a really healthy life pattern.
