Maria Eleftheriou was born in Athens in 1974. She began her studies as a Mechanical Engineer. She continued her studies at the Pedagogical Department of ASPAITE and then at the Department of German Language & Literature of EKPA.
She holds an MSc in Person-Centered Counseling & Psychotherapy (MSc in Person-Centered Counseling & Psychotherapy) from the University of Strathclyde UK.
She is a certified trainer in the Effective Parent Lab (PET Trainer) according to the model of Dr. Thomas Gordon. She has been trained in Life Coaching (Achology Life Coaching Certificate Course). Educated in support of people with Dementia, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome and ADHD from the University of Derby UK.
Her professional experience is 20 years in a large company but also as a teacher for young children and adults. Se has participated in European Leonardo Da Vinci know-how exchange programs between major educational institutions in Europe.
Organizes Effective Parent Workshops (EAGs) training parent groups based on the Gordon model.
She is the co-founder of the mental health portal The Mental Health Gate, a site whose main goal is to promote professionals from all fields of mental health and in addition to their further training through Seminars, Lectures, etc.
She writes articles on the site The Mental Health Gate and also on well-known websites that deal with mental health and self-improvement.
She is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Professionals of Person-Centered & Experiential Approach (PEEPVIP).
She is married and the mother of 4 children.
