Pegi Athanasiou is a pharmacist, a graduate of the School of Pharmacy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She started her professional career as a pharmacist in charge in a large Greek pharmacy chain.
Iin 2016 she obtained a postgraduate degree in Applied Economics & Management (Applied Economics & Management) from the Department of Economic and Regional Development of Panteion University, specializing in Emotional Intelligence and in the decision-making process in the family businesses.
Having considerable experience in running the family businesses in the field of health, through different positions of responsibility, she obtained a degree in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute of England (Diploma in Management & Leadership, Level 5 – Chartered Management Institute).
Nowadays she is the head of the Research and Development department of Power Health, a Greek family business with a leading position in the field of nutritional supplements. Pegi is responsible for both the development of new products and the business development of the company.
She has participated as a keynote speaker at pharmaceutical conferences and events and is a regular contributor to print and online health magazines.
She believes that the concepts of management, leadership, strategy, human resource management do not stop to be dynamic, although they have been studied a lot with many classical theories to frame them. The modern business world and the ever-present
changing work environment create new challenges that can even lead to a redefinition of these concepts.
